Colwyn Bay Club 2016.

Colwyn Bay Club 2016.

Received this e-mail this week from the sec at the Colwyn Bay club,

We are in the process of moving lakes and that involves obtaining new
Licences, plus H&S and insurance approvals.

Due to the uncertainty of those outcomes, we will not be holding our
Regatta in 2017 and do not know if it will return at a future date.

Thanks to everyone for their previous support, it was much appreciated.

Regards

Alan Woodward.

As anyone who has been to this club's shows in the past, they will be disappointed to see this, but hopefully it will be returning in the future!.
Bob (The Builder) Abell and myself went there this year and even though it was on the same day as our club's regatta, we decided to go and fly our flag!.To give you an idea of this clubs event in 2016 here are some pictures for you.

Bob the builder.

Sailing his Slo Mo 2.

Then he had a go sailing my Duck, the one built by Graham Harling!,

Then it was my turn to sail Bobs Slo Mo 2

Fame at Last
Another type of duck

General view.

Hopefully this is not another club biting the dust show wise!, would be such a shame as they have been good at it as I've been going for the last six or seven years and never had a bad one.

A blast from the past at Colwyn Bay Shows.

Rosie,Joyce,Velda and I.

Straight running

Guess who with the Great Eastern?.

View from the show.

Not many people have seen this one, the old lake which was where the A55 above was built over!.

Hope these old pictures will bring some happy memories to our members and the Colwyn Bay members.

Will be sorry if they never have any more shows
It was a very friendly show and full of nice memories too
And a lovely ride out, with trouble free parking
Bob the Abell.

Hard to find something to write about this time of year, but hope this reflection of the past year will keep you going until the next time!.

Warwick Show 2016.

Warwick Show 2016.

For those of you who didn't go to the Warwick show for one reason or another here is Bob Abell's report I don't know how he does it for the price!.

This is the luxury coach they travelled in!,
Note the reg number, FA 60 ENG.
it was the England Football team coach in 2010.
Talk about arriving in style!.

A very unimpressive showground entrance

The show mascot, Robby the Ram.

Colin Bishop the Model Boats Magazine Website Editor.

Dave Milbourn of Components Shop.

Jeanie Deans.

As I'm building one of these Narra Boats, Bob included these pictures of this nicely furnished one.

If you want to see some more of Bob's pictures and review

Thanks again Bob the Abell for your report!.

The model boat club was being driven through a town and the driver shouted out.
"If you look to the left you will see we are driving past the the biggest pub in town"
A voice at the back shouts,
"Why!".

Hollywood movies would be improved if they shot less film and more producers!.

A wife told her husband to go and change their son, two hours later he came back with a baby girl!.

It's the way I tell em!

Where do Forrest Rangers go to"Get away from it all".

There are two periods when fishing is fun, before you get there and after you leave.
